Is the panel purpose made for wall & ceiling cladding for road tunnels and underground train stations?

The panel has been subject to EN 13501-1 for non combustibility Please refer to Certificate of Conformity No. CLS2 12 07 81407 001

The panels are manufactured in Belgium

What is the net weight of the panel?

The Weight of the panel is 24.1 Kg/m2

What is the difference between Light Gauge & Heavy Gauge vitreous enamel steel?

The document BS EN 28722 defines that Light Gauge VE as being coil manufactured vitreous enamel steel and applied as the top skin of the sandwiched panel which gives it its shape and strength.

Heavy Gauge panels are prefabricated either individually or in batches from steel sheet. Return edges gives it its rigidity. The steel is at least from 0.85 mm onwards. A good quality architectural panel is usually of 1.6 mm thick with return edge of 38 mm.

To prevent moisture from penetrating the backing board, a galvanised steel sheet of 0.8 mm thick balances the panel against bowing.

What is the base steel thickness?

The base steel is 0.56 mm thickness. The total thickness including ground coat & top coat is 0.83 mm thick

What is the composition of the sandwiched panel?

The sandwich construction comprise of the coloured top skin bonded to a 12 mm Minerit Board and further bonded to 0.4 mm hot dipped galvanized steel. The overall thickness of the panel is 13.23 mm thick

Can you tell us how the panel is laminated?

Both the top & bottom skins are bonded to the board by passing through a curtain coater before passing through a furnace to dry, and is left to cure under a stack press for 48 hours.

What kind of test do you carry out to support your claim that the panel will withstand against delamination and has a surface hardness harder than painted surfaces?

What are your water jet specifications?

1. Although Waterjet Specifications can be provided, it is important the correct Olivine Sand mesh #120 is used.

2. The nozzle position must be 1 cm away from the surface to be cut.

3. Polystyrene cover all remaining part of the table.

4. Speed is 600mm-800 mm per minute.
